East Bay College Fund has received a $10,000 grant from The Clorox Company Foundation. The grant will be used to support the scholarship programs of East Bay College Fund.
East Bay College Fund, founded in 2002, is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides $16,000 four-year college scholarships and mentoring to Oakland public high school students.
“We were impressed by the East Bay College Fund’s comprehensive and unique approach to providing college scholarships to low-income students from our area,” said Shona Carter, Special Projects Associate for the East Bay Community Foundation, administrator of The Clorox Company Foundation. “We especially like their focus on engaging community members to provide scholarship funding and mentoring.”
