New Executive Director
East College Bay Fund is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Dodge as our new Executive Director effective April 4.
Diane brings over ten years of non-profit management experience and a lifelong commitment to equity in education. She comes to us after serving as Executive Director for seven years at Seven Tepees in San Francisco, a program dedicated to impacting the lives of promising inner-city youth. While there, Diane strategically led the growth of Seven Tepees from a small non-profit into a model youth development program. Diane taught for seventeen years in urban middle and high schools in California and led projects to empower all youth with the belief that they could attend college. During her career, Diane developed several unique college access programs for first-generation college students.
In describing her qualifications East Bay College Fund Board President, Andy Fremder said, “Diane has a strong track record of building organizational capacity, creating collaborations, raising funds and designing effective programs specifically for underserved youth. She is an ideal choice to lead our growth, building upon East Bay College Fund’s strong foundation.”
Diane states, “I am thrilled to join the East Bay College Fund as Executive Director! This is an extraordinary opportunity for me to continue my life’s work and passion–to grow unique community organizations that address the academic achievement gap and build human potential. I aim to further galvanize the community to multiply the number of scholarships, build strategic collaborations and expand our support programs.”
In early April, East Bay College Fund will host a welcome reception to provide our community an opportunity to meet and share ideas with Diane, and to see our new office location. Look for details to follow soon.
